Marc’s general themes are strongly entrepreneurial but his message resonates just as well with corporate CEOs as it does with students and early stage entrepreneurs. His experience as a six-time founder allows him to speak with authority not only about how companies get started, but about how businesses of any size can better foster innovation and more effectively turn ideas into realities.

How he presents
His presentations are a blend of inspiration (overcoming adversity / anyone can do it), stories drawn from starting and growing of Netflix, plus scores of tips and examples gleaned from his 4 decades helping hundreds of entrepreneurs make their dreams come true. Whether it’s an audience of 10 or 10,000, Marc will ensure that your group is amused, inspired and informed.
Marc Randolph is a veteran Silicon Valley entrepreneur, advisor and investor. Marc was co-founder of the online movie and television streaming service Netflix, serving as their founding CEO, as the executive producer of their web site, and as a member of their board of directors until his retirement in 2004. Most recently, Marc co-founded analytics software company Looker Data Sciences, and currently serves as an advisor to numerous other startups, serving variously as a mentor, CEO coach, and/or board member.
Although best known for starting Netflix, Marc’s career as an entrepreneur spans more than four decades. He’s been a founder of more than half a dozen other successful start-ups, a mentor to hundreds of early stage entrepreneurs, and an investor in numerous successful (and an even larger number of unsuccessful) tech ventures. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, works extensively with young entrepreneur programs, and is a trustee of the non-profit National Outdoor Leadership School and the environmental advocacy group One Percent for the Planet.
“Marc’s presentation was truly interesting and inspiring. We also appreciate him being available for all the media interviews, as well as for the extra activities he was asked to participate at, such as a visit to our campus, where he spoke to students.”
