Cem Seymen’s inspirational presentations are highly sought after by a diverse range of audiences. He draws upon his experience and insights with stories of his real life and the new developments around the world.
After completing his high school education in İstanbul, Cem Seymen earned his Tourism Management degree from Bilkent University. He worked in the tourism industry for a brief amount of time and quitted this job in order to achieve his childhood dream. He moved to New York in order to receive training about economic journalism. In addition to completing Political Economics degree at City University of New York, he earned another degree in Television Broadcasting from New York University. He participated in seminars coordinated by ABC, CBS and NBC televisions about professionalism. While he was studying in college, he worked at the (Turkish) Consulate General for six years. After moving back to Turkey, he started working at BRT Television as an economics correspondent. At BRT, he earned significant recognition from the public with his program “Colors of Life” (Hayatın Renkleri), in which he presented news with a different style to the audience.
Seymen’s another passion, after journalism, is literature. He took the first step by retaking the university entrance exam in order to receive a literature education. He graduated from Beykent University with English Language and Literature major. He prepared his master’s thesis with poet Cevat Çapan which called “The Marks of Colonialism in Novels of Joseph Conrad”.
Since he started working in Economy Service of CNN TÜRK, he made remarkable interviews with the executives of the biggest companies and with the outstanding businessmen in Turkey. He represented CNN TÜRK in Davos Economic Forum and IMF meetings. In CNN TÜRK, with the program he presented called “Industry Route”, Seymen broadcasted from different cities around the world and Turkey each week. Currently, he presents the program named Para Dedektifi (The Money Investigator). His biggest passion is travelling. Adventurous journeys to the unknown places occupy a big part of his life. He writes about his observations and takes photographs. Seymen likes creating heroes by writing TV and movie scripts. He will soon write a book and currently he’s planning on that.
